Comic's up, and next one should hopefully be up by Friday night or Saturday morning. After that, I should be able to get back on schedule.
Meanwhile, the site continues to evolve slowly but surely. I'm hoping to have more work done on that this weekend, too. My wife is the greatest person in the universe.
Hey Framed fans, this is Meaghan with a dire warning! For at least today the archives are going to be a bit wonky! Sorry for the disruption, but it's all for the cause of making the comic even better!
I'll make Damonk finish up the latest comic when he gets home from work today, promise!
Hey all, just a heads-up to let you know that the comic will be late. It's pencilled, but needs to be inked and laid out, so it won't be up until tonight or tomorrow (depending on whether my family visits tonight or not). This may impact the Friday update as well, but I'll be catching up and building up my backlog again this weekend, so all should be close to"back to normal" hopefully next week.
Thanks for your patience!
So my
wife, the most amazing woman in the universe, offered to revamp my website because she loves me and stuff...
We'll be playing with it during the upcoming week, and we'll also likely be separating the
Framed archives from the
Naught-Framed archives, and so on. But for now, sit back and enjoy the amazing new look, and just bask in my wife's complete awesomenessificationmanship.
Yep. ^_^
And here's my first delay, folks. Due to a pretty serious and unexpected family "thing", I'm afraid that I was completely unable to work on my comic this weekend as had been planned. To add to that, I have to go away on business to Winnipeg and Thunder Bay Monday morning and won't be back until Thursday...
So best case scenario at this point is an update on Friday. Worst case scanario is an update sometimes next week. The family thing, which I won't discuss here, is not gonna go away soon, so it may impact my comic updates for a little while. But I promise to do my best to continue updating as best I can... not just for you wonderful readers, but for myself most of all, ya know? I'm really back into doodling, and don't want to stop anytime soon. Honest.
Hey, look! Robert "Tangent" Howard has gone and told the world that I exist again. He's given my attempts doodology some sort of nice review-thingie on his Tangents blog --
check it out!
At this rate, my secret return's not going to be secret much longer, huh? ^_~
Oops! The comic is penciled and pre-inked (I tend to ink comics twice), but not scanned. The reason? I truly and simply forgot that I hadn't finished and uploaded it already (the comic was actually pencilled and pre-inked on Saturday, go figure! I just lost track of time). I unfortunately don't have the time to do it this morning, so it'll have to be done when I get home from work tonight. Expect it to be up at around 8pm (EDT) or so.
Sorry about that, folks!
It should come as no surprise that along with my return to the world of digital doodling, I'd also find myself looking for (and finding!) new webcomics to read again... and like I used to, I'd like to share some of my new finds with you fine folks -- because you deserve to be exposed to quality, right? :)
Probably my favorite new find right now is
Goblins, a fantasy webcomic that has you looking at a D&D-style world through the eyes of those fiesty little runts you're all used to killing out of habit when adventuring. The writing is remarkably fresh and always amusing (and when it gets dramatic, it still works!), and the plot is one of the more original takes I've seen in a D&D-themed comic for as long as I can remember. If you like fantasy, you enjoy clever humour and solid writing, and you are a fan of sweet, sweet originality, then methinks you'll like
Goblins as much as I do.
Second up is a hilarious Shojo spoof wonderfully titled
Gorgeous Princess Creamy Beamy. I don't even know how or where to begin describing this, so I'll just say that it's comedy gold and its art suits the mood perfectly. Be warned, though, it definitely treads along the risqué at times... but that's really just part of the fun. It may update sporadically, but it's always worth the wait.
Third is Liz Greenfield's
Stuff Sucks -- a clever ongoing story that revolves around a Nice Guy(tm), an eccentric hippie Record Store owner, a Cute l'il Con Artist in training, and hijinx aplenty. I actually
reviewed this comic recently, so you can read my thoughts in detail there, if ya want. But long and short of it is that Greenfield's still got her webcomic mojo goin' on.
So yeah -- take a gander at these webcomics, folks! You may find yourself with a new addiction or two! :)
