Gah! I completely forgot to let you all know what was going on this week, didn't I!?

Long story short, and as I had kinda warned earlier, I *did* in fact get called away to travel all over the country for the next little while, and was given all sorts of fun paperwork to take care of, too...

So I'm writing this from my Calgary hotel room right now, as I get ready to start up yet another report, and I regret to tell you that I won't have a comic coming up this week, but I will do my best to draw two or three when I get back home this weekend, so you have some for when I'm gone yet again next week (this time to Toronto and Winnipeg).

So apologies for not having let you know sooner -- I honestly thought I had put in a blog post when I got up at 5am on Monday morning, but obviously I was more asleep than I thought!

So a few quick tidbits, before I rush off to work:

1) One of my extremely cool and loyal readers, Dave Hughes -- who just happens to dabble a little in webdoodlemifications himself -- just posted a very Framed-esque strip this week that I absolutely loved (but you should read from this strip here to get the "plot") . His comic, The Battle Barge, may not be quite the Michelangelo of webcomic art just yet, but it's got some pretty fun wit... and the strip I linked to really rocks. And he totally said some nice things about my work and stuff in his latest newspost, which very much made my day when I read it yesterday morning...

2) My very good friend Mr.Garibal-- umm, Jim Zubkavich has recently launched a very awesome and extremely amusing call in his Livejournal to all doodlers and artists out there -- the Cereal Revolution. Essentially, he's trying to get people to just whip up a drawing of one of their favorite old-time cereal mascots (e.g., Sugar Bear, Dig'Em, the Cookie Crook, etc.!), and post it in their own blog or his or wherever. I myself couldn't resist being all Damonk-like, and my resulting Sonny the Cocoa Puffs bird is certainly, well... something, arlight.

But since I know a lot of fellow aspiring and established webtoonists and doodlers read this comic, I wanted to urge you to also join the Cereal Revolution! Draw your fave cereal mascot, and send the link to Jimmy Z asap! The Cap'n of the Crunch demands it!!

3) With the end of hockey season having hit home (go 'Canes!!!), I have to mention another great new recent find for me, webcomic-wise: The Hockey Zombie. I'd explain it, but really -- I mean... LOOK at that title. Doesn't it make you want to rush over and check it out all by itself???

And as promised... the Monday strip! (on Wednesday!!)

Next one should hopefully appear on Friday sometime?

Hey all! Just letting you know that I am indeed back from vacation (which was wonderful), but have been thrust directly in a week of intensive training at work... so updates will be a little slow this week.

My hope is to have something for you guys by tomorrow to begin with, then another on Friday, and then hopefully something on the weekend; then I should be back on track for a little while longer (even if I also just found out this week that I will have to do a *lot* of travelling this summer, which will most likely have some sort of impact on my updates. But we'll see)...

In the meantime, you guys should all rush over to Life on Forbez -- good ole' pal CDC has started updating again recently. You should rush over and worship him not only for being one of the main reasons Meaghan and I met, but also because he is, as always, a master of both the funny and the fantastic (drawing skills, that is).

And remind me to tell you about a serious wrong I recently heard about involving a major inspiration to many fantasy writers and fans alike who's being royally screwed. (More on that soon.)

Hi all! First off, let me point out that today's chapter cover was drawn and coloured by my uber-talented wife, Meaghan. Let the subject-matter of the cover serve as a warning of things to come... (but don't worry -- all those cows are just resting, honest!)

In other news, Megs and I are going off to Florida on vacation for a week (my first vacation ever!), so I won't be around to reply to emails and such while I'm gone. However, don't worry about the comics -- I've uploaded enough to last until I'm back: you'll have the regular three updates next week, and I'm planning on drawing bunches while I'm away so it'll be easy to update as soon as I return without missing a beat...

Please note, however, that the comics next week are in a certain state of "sketchiness"; the Monday one was not completely inked the way I usually ink, and the Wednesday/Friday ones are actually my doodle drafts (i.e., not the finished product). I plan on redoing them once I'm back, but I wanted to be sure that you had comics while I was gone... That's how much I loves you guys!!!
